WELCOME TO CROSSFIT
CrossFit Diamond Valley is a strength and conditioning facility located in Eltham (north east of Melbourne) offering group coaching or one on one personal training utilising the CrossFit methodology. CrossFit by definition is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life. They move the largest loads the longest distances, so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest time. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time or power. The more work you do in less time, or the higher the power output, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness.
What Is Crossfit
I love the fact that I don’t have to think about what to do each day, and it is like a personal training session without paying PT prices. It is rewarding to be able to start with the basics and see measurable improvements on a regular basis and my fellow exercisers motivate me, inspire me and hold me accountable to turn up and be my best!
CFDV to me is more than just a gym or a place you train it’s a family and everyone supports and pushes you.
My main reason for wanting to try it out was to get motivated again! I actually trialled another crossfit gym just before trying CFDV, I only did one session with them, but everyone at CFDV was way more welcoming and friendly. The whole vibe at CFDV was way better!
I came down originally because it’s common knowledge that CFDV is a strong, olympic lifting style box. Once I saw the volume and structure of the programming I knew that it was the best place for me to get results.
Between work, kids, and general life, it’s so nice to have something thats just for me. Not only do I get time away from all that, I get to exercise and get strong and feel good, and I get to hang out with a bunch of supportive and inspirational people.
