A lot of people are proud of their first hand tear, or
they are proud to post images of their torn hands on FB. For me, Im the opposite. Very Very Very rarely do I tear my hands. Why? Prevention is always better than cure. If I tear my hands, Im very disappointed as that then impacts my training for the rest of the week.

I also suffer from sweaty man syndrome. My hands are in fact very clammy now as I’m writing this and this is another reason why I wear my grips for pretty much everything. I chalk up once before the WOD starts and rarely will I chalk again. I know chalking is a mental break, so I stay strong when using the grips as I know that I don’t need to chalk up and that I should just pick up the bar instead.
